The whole of creation, with all of its laws, is a revelation of God.

Feed your senses at Lentfest 2008

Lentfest 2008 swings into play this month, bringing with it a diverse array of arts events in what is set to become a major new annual event in Glasgow’s Christian and cultural calendar.
With live theatre, cinema, literary events, and the visual arts, Lentfest — now in its second year — is an imaginative fusion of the arts to celebrate and explore the Christian faith.
Hosted by the Archdiocese of Glasgow and attracting cross-denominational and civic support, Lentfest runs from February through to Easter Week, with events and performances throughout the greater Glasgow area.
Highlights this year include a new theatre production created especially for the Lentfest; concerts by renowned musicians; contributions from filmmakers and published writers, and a public exhibition with work by a variety of artists.
Lentfest is the brainchild of festival director and Archdiocese of Glasgow Arts Project Manager Stephen Callaghan.
Stephen says ‘Our vision is for more churches, more schools and more community members to become involved in this annual opportunity for expressing, exploring and sharing Christian values through the arts.’
