Quote of the Day

The purpose of Christianity is not to avoid difficulty, but to produce a character adequate to meet it when it comes. It does not make life easy; rather it tries to make us great enough for life.

Hope Academy Seeks Christian Talent

A Christian drama company and a human rights and mission agency have joined forces to launch a national talent competition while at the same time raising awareness of persecuted Christians.
Since January Saltmine Theatre Company and Open Doors will have visited nine UK cities to net the nation’s best Christian soloists, bands and choirs. Following auditions before expert panels, the best acts will perform to live audiences and the finalists will appear at a London event in May. The winner will perform alongside Saltmine actors, record a music video and perform in Egypt with Open Doors. ‘The fusion of the creative arts and compassion will raise the profile of the persecuted church which has never been so necessary,’ Eddie Lyle of Open Doors explained.
