Prayer time The Global Day of Prayer organisation has called for 500 days of prayer across the UK, starting on August 1 It wants churches to get organised and choose one day each month on which 24 people agree to pray for an hour each. And it’s encouraging individuals to stop and pray the Lord’s Prayer every day at noon. Is it a long time since you’ve prayed that prayer? Here it is in a modern version: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
