Religion gets a bad press in some quarters today. But people of faith often play a huge part in their local communities – and a leading church insurance company is aiming to prove it. Congregational & General is running a photography competition aimed at showing the positive effect faiths can have on communities – and one of the judges is legendary photographer Don McCullin (pictured). “Faith through a lens” is open to all budding photographers whose images convey the importance of faith today within their local area. The winning entries will receive high quality, professional photographic equipment to be donated to their chosen charity, faith or community group. Entries have to be in by the end of October, and can be uploaded through www.faiththroughalens.co.uk |
